Light and colour are an integral part in choosing images and I became increasingly interested in the subject of water, it’s movement and stillness, and how it reflects its environment, especially light.
This piece was drawn while attending an artist residency in Taohuatan, China in 2018. It is an image of the Mekong River around the island of Don Det in Laos, taken during my travels there in 2011.
